Buildings and Cities is a classic Construction Kids camp. It is an old friend we bring out every summer to a great response. So, this year we are adding an Advanced Buildings and Cities Camp due to the overwhelming demand from builders and parents! This week will introduce new tools to our tool belts, allowing for the building of more complex structures. Campers will learn to build frames and frame out buildings that are taller and more complex than in our regular Buildings and Cities camp. Campers will fabricate for themselves, with advanced tools, more complex pieces for the architectural design of their Buildings and Cities that take a cue from current building methods.

Real Tools For Small Hands

Kids love to make things and be creative. It’s how they learn about the world around them. They just need their imagination, some great materials, and a safe, encouraging environment. Our campers work on projects that are adapted for small hands, using real tools. Surrounded by other kids and great counselors, we see their creativity come alive. And most of all, they have fun.
Campers learn how to safely use a wide range of real tools and learn how to handle different materials to build a dynamic project. Included in the project are the basic tenants of STEM: planning, exploring options, making repairs, and finishing your work, while fostering self-reliance, problem solving, confidence and creativity.
